FitRoots Privacy Policy
FitRoots Community provides fitness, lifestyle, programme, challenge and community features. This policy describes the main categories of information used by the service.
Information we process
Depending on the features you use, FitRoots may process account information such as your name, email, mobile number and profile photo; assessments and programme progress; challenge participation, task proof and points; community posts and uploaded media; and health or fitness information that you explicitly permit the app to access.
Why we use it
Information is used to operate your account, provide programmes and challenges, calculate progress, provide coaching services, support community features, maintain security, process account requests and improve service reliability.
Health and fitness information
Health or fitness information is accessed only for FitRoots health, fitness and coaching features that you choose to use. FitRoots should request only the permissions needed for those features.
Payments
Payment providers may process payment information. FitRoots may retain payment references and transaction records necessary for access, support, accounting, fraud prevention or legal obligations.
Community content
Posts and challenge proof that you choose to share may be visible to other eligible FitRoots members according to the feature's visibility rules.
Account and data deletion
You can initiate account deletion from the FitRoots app under More → Profile & Settings → Delete Account or from the FitRoots web deletion page. Once a deletion request is confirmed, account access is disabled while the request is processed.
The permanent deletion workflow removes or anonymises personal FitRoots profile data, programme and assessment records, challenge participation and proof, community content, notification/device data and uploaded personal media associated with the account. FitRoots may retain a minimal non-login account tombstone and limited transaction/accounting records when needed for transaction integrity, accounting, fraud prevention or legal obligations. Retained transaction records are stripped of unnecessary personal contact information where the FitRoots deletion processor supports it.
